Athena Philippides, a ceramic & collage artist with a PhD in chemistry, was born in Australia and now lives in California. Making magic with a pair of scissors, her detailed collages are crafted from hundreds of repurposed book covers. Different textures and colors are arranged and rearranged, layer upon layer to create these unique images.
